Terms of Service
Effective date: October 28, 2026
1. Using CertGeek
By creating an account or using CertGeek, you agree to these Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. You must be at least 16 years old.
2. Your account
Give us accurate information and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account, so tell us right away if you think someone else is using it. Each account is personal and for one person only, so please don't share your account or password. We may restrict, suspend, or delete accounts that break these Terms, and we delete accounts that never verify their email. We may also restrict access to all or part of CertGeek when reasonably necessary to protect our users, content, systems, or legal rights.
3. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- try to break, probe, overload, or get around the security of the site;
- use our content in any way that Section 4 prohibits;
- use automated tools to create accounts or answer questions;
- upload or submit harmful content;
- use CertGeek to cheat on a real exam, or share real exam content.
4. Our content
CertGeek's original questions, assessments, explanations, practice labs, games, software, design, and other educational materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
They are provided for your personal, non-commercial studies, including your own notes and revision. Systematic extraction, reproduction, redistribution, resale, or commercial use of CertGeek's materials is prohibited without our prior written permission.
CertGeek keeps all rights in its original materials, subject to any third-party rights.
5. A study aid, with no guarantees
CertGeek's questions and labs are not actual exam questions, and using the site does not guarantee any exam result. Content may contain errors. Always check the official exam objectives from the organization that runs your exam, since exam providers may change their content, format, scoring, or requirements at any time.
6. Independence and trademarks
CertGeek is an independent educational platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorized by CompTIA or Cisco. All third-party trademarks, certification names, and logos are the property of their respective owners and are referenced solely for identification purposes.
7. A free service, provided as is
CertGeek is free. We don't charge fees, and we don't ask for payment or card details. If that changes, we'll update these Terms first. We provide it "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause, or stop any part of the site, and we'll try to give notice of significant changes.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CertGeek and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site, including reliance on its educational content or exam results.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the effective date and try to give notice of significant changes, for example on the site or by email. If you keep using CertGeek after a change takes effect, you accept it.
